How did Ol' Hobbs become a writer?
Get the Point!
Through the years, I have shared many tidbits about how I chose to become a lawyer and an educator but curiously enough, rarely have I ever delved into how I became a writer, in general, and a freelance journalist, specifically.
Last week, I had the pleasure of talking to publisher/podcast host Kellie Scott Reed about how I developed the ability to put pen to paper; check out our segment at the link below and learn a thing or two about how writing evolved from a chore to my life’s greatest professional pleasure!

This is wonderful! Great to hear how you became a writer (an amazing writing at that). I used to be so embarrassed saying my BS is in English with a focus in Creative Writing. That was a long time ago. Now I am proud of it as this degree has helped me in my career in Business Development, Public Relations, Customer Lead Generation, and Communications. It helps so much to be able to write and express my thoughts efficiently. It is what made my friendship with the late Terri Shay Alexander aka Sista Shay so special because we were always proofing each others papers and later social media posts! Thank you sharing your talent and knowledge with us Brother Chuck. Hope to meet you beyond the Book of Faces.
