HP Spotlight: Alana Mathews, Sacramento District Attorney Candidate
As we move closer to 2022, the Hobbservation Point Newsletter will continue to focus on key local, state, and federal races across America.
Today's spotlight is on my friend Alana Mathews, a brilliant alumna of Spelman College (Class of ‘96) who is a leading candidate to become the next District Attorney in Sacramento County, California.
A former deputy district attorney and California Energy Commission public adviser, Mathews founded the Community Justice Collaborative in 2020 while working for the Prosecutors Alliance of California and teaching at the McGeorge School of Law. To learn more about Mathews and her candidacy, read today's article in the Sacramento Bee!
Attorney Mathews is no stranger to the Hobbs Media Group, having appeared multiple times on the Hobbservation Point Roundtable and on the Steel Sharpens Steel show that I co-host each week with Tom Cunningham, Sharon Letman-Hicks, and Joy Stephens! Ergo, I am asking all of my subscribers to kindly donate to her campaign due to the critical importance of having progressives making prosecutorial decisions across America.
