It is with great pride that the Hobbservation Point heralds the news that Chris Jones, a brilliant nuclear engineer, community servant, and doting family man, has announced his run to replace Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson.
Jones, 44, is a former Morehouse College Student Body President who I had the pleasure of befriending through Dr. C. Fred Higgs III, my friend since our 4th grade year at Lucy Moten Elementary School who is an engineering professor and vice-provost at Rice University in Houston.
The former head of the Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub, a nonprofit organization based in North Little Rock, Jones promises to bring fresh perspectives and less divsiveness in his first political campaign. Said Jones, “Our campaign is about lifting people up and building a fair Arkansas so there are opportunities for all of us…the reality of this moment in our nation's history is that if we want our politics to be different, we have to be different."
Indeed!
Be sure to check out Brother Jones later this summer when Season 2 of “Front & Center with Chuck Hobbs” premiers on the Greater Works Network on Roku-Tv!
Great. News! It will surely be a tough fight.
