As long as we have a divisional party system, we will continue to be tossed from one side of the ship to the other based on who’s in control. We were warned in the 60s about a New World Order. If this is not it, we are close to it. If African-Americans are still the largest consumers in the USA, then they need to learn use their monetary resources to purchase control of their initiatives rather than lying dormant, and covering up with semantics.
Your voice is needed and I look for your column every week. We have to speak up loudly. My despair has been the weakness of dems, the lack of solidarity and fire. Who gives a flying F*** about decorum at this place in time. I worry about student grants and loans(my grandson had both) so that young people can continue their educations. I worry about the outright bigotry that is supported by repubs. I read an article this morning that said we are heading for civil war. I worry that all funding will be taken from HBCUs. Finally, I want to thank you for kindly correcting me about the Jack Daniels info on your facebook page. Another lesson for me, get all the information before I comment . Thank you! We are in this together and being together, we will MAKE the Democratic Party bend to the will if its people. The lack of courage exhibited by some has been disappointing, but there still are other fearless Democrats who are planning and fighting across America. The key is to make sure that the Party stands out from the MAGA party in every way possible, instead of trying to become "Republican Lite," which is often the trend. We need a full restructuring of how things are done, and it can only come about when we raise our collective voices.
