I’m sitting quiet in my seat. I have nothing to add to your thoughts, or to the crimes this government is enacting.

It’s up to Americans, whether this affects them directly, or won’t. ☹️

Loved the article. Who is the artist of the Black woman/flag picture?

In recent years, with Juneteenth becoming a federal holiday, Black Americans have expanded their knowledge of our history and embraced Douglass's questioning of what the 4th of July means to us. This question is even more poignant today, not just for Black Americans, but for all non-white Americans in the face of the evil that is White supremacy celebrating renewed oppression of non-white peoples in the Florida Everglades. How sad and disgusting! You nailed the growing consciousness of our people. My question is how bad does it have to get before we can affect real and lasting change to, or at least root out, this renewed white supremacist psyche that controls our nation?

I have had so many arguments going on in my head. I am embarrassed at the actions of our so called leaders and angry at those who turned their backs on fellow citizens and immigrants. Today is not a good day in the US.
