I visited the Vatican Museum in January and they have an extensive Egyptian collection. I undoubtedly saw characteristics that are considered African - hair, lips & noses. As you mention in your article, this was well before Cleopatra’s reign, but to my mind, she a descendant of them, so why wouldn’t she have some of the same characteristics?
For me, I could not view Cleopatra as white, like old Hollywood did. We know better now - or should.
