A lot to digest here. While not obviously as familiar with the Tallahassee landscape as you are, I would posit that this geographical quandary exists all over the country, especially in OUR neighborhoods. Let us also look at the fact that this generation is not taught how to deal with conflict management. Until we develop a balance of the right amount of technology in our lives, we remain in this situation. I see it daily in the classroom and it is horrifying.

As a product of Tallahassee its breaks my heart to see my hometown being subjective to this type of behavior. If they don't get a hold of this issue, it can get out of hand like it did here in Baltimore where we had over 300 murders in 2022 in which the majority were from teenagers and gangs. Thanks for this eye-opening article, I pray that it catches the eyes of your local and state politicians to implement programs for the youths.

Well I have to be one of the sayers, not doers and admit the situation deserve talking about, but needs more done. Instead of putting our mental past up for renewal. Why are we not creating solutions to help them where they are mentally, I.E. software to build or remodel homes and buildings on their level, financial strategies for investments, repairing equipment etc., Instead of war games that desensitize. Solutions starts with the man in the mirror, and for us that's afraid, come with and within the community organizations, Ministers, Deacons, Mothers, Greeks, Masons et.al., show and teach the way to civility. We all could be taught a new dance!!

COME OUT FROM UNDER THE COVERS

I’ll be using solipsistic, soon!

It hurts my soul hearing week after week after week about bodies that are senselessly dropping over perceived disrespect or possible gang initiation.

Parents have got to get their children out from behind their electronics and onto a field interacting, building team relationships with other children.

I apologize for an off topic link, but I just read this story about the first African American woman pilot in the Air Force, and I'd never read about her, but if you may not have heard her story either, you might want to look up more about her, and share the information with your audience.👏🏻 If you already have known about her, I apologize for the post....
