This is sad but true and we have to make it known to everyone. Mental health can push you away from the church because of being judged and that hurt even more. When you feel sick prayer is good but remember to get help from the professionals.

I believe I in God and the doctors. Thanks for putting this out there.

John Oliver had a really good episode recently about the difficulty of getting help even after admitting you needed it and seeking it.

Great read Brother Hobbs. I would suppose that the best thing that any Pastor should have (Black or White) is a rolodex/business card/contact of a Professional who can appropriately deal with mental health issues and conditions. Pastors can't fix everything. Knowing your "calling" is real! Knowing how to help/direct/suggest is many times better. JS Thanks for your "Hobservation Point(s)"

God blessed others to be mental health counselors so that we can seek help. A lot of Pastor's suffer in silence - in a lonely position of power and responsibility. Even the Lord sought counsel. And we should know it is okay to do so as well.

Thank you. My beloved grandson left for the Golden Shore Oct 7, 2020, and although he had compelling physical reasons for leaving, it was also true he couldn't get help for them because of the quarantine. God bless you for your example, Mr Hobbs.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! Thanks for sharing your personal story, Chuck. Hopefully, it will encourage those who need help, but have been hesitant, to get the help they need!
